at Ty’s new room. I love it already and so does he!
After Katrina we just bought him some cheapo temporary furniture from walmart. Its been falling apart for awhile so it really was time to get him something new. So we took a chunk of our tax return, walked into Pottery Barn Kids and said "we want that room please"….It was fabulous, I have never done that before, so fun, and at PBK no less!!! But you know what? We don’t feel guilty AT ALL. Ty is a kid whose whole life was flipped upside down, he lost everything he owned, not once, but twice, by the time he was 8 years old. He deserves this room, he’s earned it, and, he appreciates it.
I can’t wait until its done. We are still waiting on part of his bed, need to hang a few things, and put his curtains up. Oh, annnnd, my favorite thing of all, a 12 foot by 8 foot canvas!! It’s a monster but so cool! I’m not one for murals but can you imagine waking up with this wave at the foot of your bed every day??
Lyndsay,
What a great teaser. I can’t wait to see the finished product. I’m a huge fan of Hawaii themed rooms. Lily’s is as well, but nothing like Ty’s.
Ty’s room looks great – can’t wait to see more pictures. I love that he has a turtle – always wanted one when I was young!
I love the storyboard- I can’t wait to see the whole room! As a PBK addict, I understand the excitement. 🙂
That’s the bedding we bought for Dylan’s new room. Your teaser storyboard looks like it will be great, I can’t wait to see your finished product. I may have to steal some of your ideas! I am a PB/PBK addict too.
Lindsay – you are the best parents!! You really are .. and Ty is so lucky to have you as a mom .. you can tell by your posts how much you love him ..
I can’t wait to see the final product … do show soon ..
