My wonderful sister-in-law sent Taryn a cute little book called "Pinkalicious". Her girls, who are a bit older than T, just love it. Thanks Aunt Dana!! Pinkalicious is now all the rage at our house. Since the very first reading, I have been getting requests to bake pink cupcakes. So this morning we broke out the supplies and got to baking. All I heard was "pink, pink, pink" LOL! Thankfully I had some leftover pink stuff still good from Valentine’s Day.
Love this…she looks so proud! Her lips are all pink from eating frosting…
Ok, so prepare yourself for this next shot, and don’t say I didn’t warn ya! If you’ve read the book, you’ll get this (if not, in the book, the little girl turns pink from eating too many pink cupcakes). I thought it would be cute to turn T pink and show her when she woke up from her nap, just for fun. So I did, and when T saw it, not only did she not think it was funny and cool, she totally freaked out. It didn’t occur to me a 2 year old doesn’t "get" photoshop, she thought she had actually turned pink and I’d taken her picture! She ran and hid under the dining room table. Whoops. That oughtta put her in therapy.
Ah well, maybe Aunt Dana, Annalane and Audrey will see the humor in it.
I’ll have to show that pink pic to my girls. They adore that book, too, and we had to make all sorts of fancy pink cupcakes the day that we “discovered” Pinkalicious. I’ve heard that the sequel (Purplicious) is pretty disappointing. Have you read that one yet?
I just love your pictures…your stories…everything! I love all the shots you’ve gotten of little (girl) T – so cute!
OMG, Lyndsay that is the funniest thing, I’m sorry she didn’t think it was that funny though. I love these shots, they are gorgeous as always!
Haha! Awe, I seriously laughed aloud just picturing her being terrified of what she thought she might look like being PINK! Maybe an extra cupcake for snack time will help her forget 😉
Oh my goodness! Those cupcakes look to-die-for!!! A great mom, a great photographer AND a great baker? I don’t think that’s fair. 🙂
OMGoodness! We LOVE Pinkalicious and I never thought of trying to make a picture of my Lou Pink! She would LOVE IT!! Now I just have to figure out how to do it!!
Mia LOVES Pinkalicious, but is terrified at the part where the girl turns red-we always have to fast-forward through those 2 pages. What a funny story about Taryn!!
hahha pink-a-boo
(*my daughter is saying..”go to the picture again and again”*)
Wow! Jinky left a comment on my blog! Awesome!
