These two. Let’s just say the honeymoon is over. There’s a power struggle going on under the surface to see who is in charge. I’ll dare to say it changes minute to minute lol! They adore one another though so the fact that the honeymoon is over cracks me up!

The kids and I decided to take the last few weeks of our homeschool year on the road. We’re in the home stretch and if we have to do school – why not do it with our toes in the sand. Sixteen days at the beach? Yes, please! We have been staying at my mom’s house in Orange Beach, Alabama. And it was the perfect opportunity to take Taryn’s 10th birthday photos. Today is my mom’s 65th birthday! She’s the best. She chose to spend our day having a picnic at the splash pad and then a bbq for dinner. Happy birthday, Gee!
My mom is back in town and this guy couldn’t be happier about it! Let the month of birthdays begin! I’ll be 40, my mom 65 and Taryn will turn 10! Bring on the cake!
Every week I think “this week is my favorite”, but Robot week, wins, hand down! The best part of this week was watching my kids light up when I told them I bought a bunch of old appliances from Goodwill for them to disassemble and repurpose in to robots. An old VCR, an old clock radio, a remote control, a coffee pot and a old game controller, all for $20 and we harvested a ton of parts and pieces.
