I love these sessions.  I love that those who book them embrace wanting to capture the most important relationship in their life.  I love exploring downtown in the dark.  There is just something so thrilling about it.

First up, when Lee Ann contacted me about booking one of the love light mini sessions I’m pretty sure I literally jumped up and down.  She’s a dear friend, with a great new man in her life and I hadn’t yet met Allan.  I told her last night, that if God let me choose happiness for one and only one friend, I’d choose her.  She deserves to be so happy.  She has such a kind heart and loving spirit and to see her this happy, wow, what a blessing.  And once I met Allan, I got it, I understood why she’s so happy.  He adores her.  In fact, looking through their images, he couldn’t take his eyes off of her, I’m not sure I got many of him looking at the camera at all!  HA! I also adore how they met, they are neighbors.  That’s how Jase and I met too.  It works people, it just works 😉  Allan, it was awesome to meet you!  Lee Ann, you look so stunning, happiness suits you my friend….

Next up were Emily and Donny.  Emily is another client turned friend….when Teagan’s vaccine reaction rocked our family she showed up in such a huge way, organizing food to feed us, shopping, even watching the older kids during some of his testing.  She is such a blessing to our family, I’ll never forget what a big heart she has and how much she helped us.  I’ve photographed their family when their youngest was itty bitty, and again the following year.  It’s always been as a family though, so it was really fun to get to know them as a couple last night.  I learned so much about them I didn’t know, how they met, where they got married, very cool stories and it was awesome to get to know them better.  Donny has surprised Emily with a session before and that gesture made my heart swoon (and that of other blog readers)!  When Emily approached the subject of a love light mini with Donny his response was “Will it make you happy?” (awwwww!) and when she said yes, he said go for it.  Um, hello awesome husband!!

Thank you to Katie Astoria with Modern Muse Makeup Artistry for doing such a wonderful job with both hair and makeup, you rock!
