I took the kids for a walk down to the fishing dock across from Stone Mountain. The view and the sunset were gorgeous, but I only had my phone camera on me at the time. We took advantage and went back on the last sunny day in the forecast for awhile with my real camera. And I am so glad we did.

I’m pretty sure Jonah was marching away to grab a stick. For real, Jonah finds sticks everywhere. We were in an empty parking lot the other day and somehow that boy found a stick with no trees and nothing around us. Jude is right, sticks find Jonah. At the end of this trip we will have 500 photos of Jonah holding a random stick. It’ll make me smile, I’m sure.

I’ve been amazed at how different the light is in different areas as we travel. Especially during the golden hour.

Ever since her Grandpa took her fishing in Corpus, she wants to go every day. It’s a constant campaign to go fishing around here. Even in the freezing cold. As soon as we arrive at a new campground she’s checking out the map for fishing rules and dog parks. This week, I didn’t even fuss at her when she used my good scissors to cut bait.

I think little pockets of light that hit moss are my new fave.
