His real name is Harrison. If you are curious as to why he was nicknamed Elvis, go here. And his gender was such a fun surprise for everyone, I love surprise babies! This birth started out with a big pre-birth party at their house and I have to admit, I had a lot of fun. Just like at Izzy’s birth, there were a lot of laughs, a lot of smiles, and there was especially, a whole lot of love. So many moments I loved, the kids dancing to Elvis music at the party, big brother Hudson discovering the gender for the first time, momma enjoying her baby and totally mesmerized by his sweet face she’d waited so long to see, daddy holding his tiny little hand in the nursery, Izzy asking so many questions when she first met him, “why are his eyes broke” because they were closed was my personal favorite, sweet girl. And of course, 18 loving family members gathered in one postpartum room to welcome this little guy in to their big old fun family with welcoming arms. He’s one lucky little guy.
If you would like to have your birth photographed, I am currently booking births for 2012. If you are not in my area, and are looking for a birth photographer, please visit www.birthphotographers.com.
Oh, Lyndsay it was great to see you again. I feel like you have become an old friend and it was wonderful to see you in person. As one of the many members of this crazy family Harrison gets to call his own, I want to thank you so much for coming to be a part of the excitement. I am sure I too will cherish the many memories you captured. I can’t wait to see the rest!
